There is no denying we’re in a difficult time. As 2020 comes to a close, and we make New Year’s Resolutions to better health which include steps like eating better, exercising, and self care. Let massage be part of your self care routine and improve your overall health and wellness.
While 2020 has had its challenges, and division among our country on an extreme scale, the goal of this blog is to educate the public about the inclusivity of massage and bodywork; everybody can benefit from massage, and every person is welcome on my massage table… as always.
For quite some time, massage has been seen as a luxury. A luxury, seen my many, as mainly reserved for a specific race, with a specific income, in a specific area of town. I’m here to tell you massage is inclusive to every demographic known to mankind. The only prerequisite necessary is the desire to find healing, peace and relaxation. Massage isn’t just a luxury, it’s health care. It doesn’t look at the clothes you wear, the car you drive, or where you grew up. It doesn’t care what you believe, as long as you have the willingness and open mind to receive care. Work in an office at a desk all day and experiencing neck pain? Book a session. Work in retail with high amount of stress? Book an appointment. Work in a factory or construction with manual labor? Book an appointment. Are you a stay at home parent who just needs a minute of relaxation after another full day? Book a session.
Although it may seem obvious to some, to others, the idea of coming into an establishment and being physically and emotionally vulnerable to a complete stranger can be worrisome. So I want to clearly state that no matter your race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, income bracket, or body type, massage therapy is for you. We strive to make our space as welcoming and inclusive as possible for everyone, so please do not hesitate to schedule a session, speak openly with us when necessary, and receive the bodywork you desperately need. Your body speaks, and I listen. Whatever has been holding you back, put it aside and schedule your session.
